Cooking:

  • Start by pre-heating oven to 375 degrees, and place 8 strips of bacon on an aluminum foil lined baking sheet. Bake for approx. 18 minutes or until the bacon is golden brown - place on paper towels to get excess grease off.

  • Pre-heat sautee pan on medium-high heat. Add 1 teaspoon olive oil, and when the pan is hot (you will see the oil start moving around in the pan towards the outside).

  • Mix ground beef, egg, garlic, cheese, salt, pepper, paprika and worcestershire together in medium mixing bowl. Mix well.

  • Form 4 1/4 lb patties or more smaller patties.

  • Add formed patties to pan and sear for approx. 5 minutes per side. Turn heat to low and add sliced cheese. Cover pan and melt cheese for approx. 2-3 minutes.

  • Make sure patties are cooked by checking internal temperature until it reaches 155 degrees.

  • Build your burger - Place one patty on the piece of iceberg lettuce. Add two strips of cooked bacon, drizzle sauce or add on side for dipping.
